Margie Thomson - Chief Executive
Margie joined the Cement Industry Federation as its Chief Executive Officer in July 2010. With postgraduate qualifications in economics and agricultural economics, Margie has extensive management experience in policy and program development, implementation and advocacy, both in Australia and internationally. Margie has worked for a wide range of organisations including the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation and the National Farmers' Federation and has served on numerous Boards and Advisory Councils.

Margie has a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (University of Sydney) and a Master of Economics from the University of New England.                               

 
Michael Ison - Policy and Research Manager
Michael has over 15 years experience in industry policy covering a range of issues including climate change, sustainability, as well as health, safety and the environment. Michael has been involved in a number of Standards Australia technical committees and has sat on the Standards Australia Council. He has extensive experience in project management and data analysis. Michael joined the Cement Industry Federation in February 2013.

Michael has a Bachelor of Science (Geology - Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) from the Australian National University.
